Pump in the yard with ice cold water. And the pre- Blue Peter Advent crown - sorry, bush! I still have the BP annual with the how to make instructions - remind me to show you! And the Wonder books! My mum had some from when she was little and passed them on to me and I loved them too ... And the grrrrpffft of cherished books being given away ... madwippitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02595748471651052552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2429560125838989988.post-82907643892452594732016-12-27T00:08:46.682+00:002016-12-27T00:08:46.682+00:00They were wonderful books, Catherine. And thank you for reminding me...What a lovely post. And thank you for reminding me about the walnut boats (we made them too) and the Wonder Books. I had my aunt's books but most of them were lent to other children and disappeared. Many years later I found copies in charity shops and antique markets and it was like meeting old friends. I still read them from time to time. They were my first introduction to many of the classics with extracts from A Christmas Carol as well as fairy tales!Catherine Czerkawskahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14554969254207924049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2429560125838989988.post-14655947237416065302016-12-26T12:15:11.024+00:002016-12-26T12:15:11.024+00:00Just the right post for the day.
