Will do in the next.Lynne Garnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05697330164705623835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2429560125838989988.post-23544805735520672172017-07-08T20:20:14.286+01:002017-07-08T20:20:14.286+01:00I fell in love with research when working on my fo...I fell in love with research when working on my fourth (latest) novel. A lot of that was history and legend but I also found out about the wild flowers and plants in the area where it is set. I used this knowledge to sow references to relevant scents and sights. It's these little things that make a setting authentic.Fran Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13497526684591168192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2429560125838989988.post-4317885129404320472017-07-08T16:12:07.502+01:002017-07-08T16:12:07.502+01:00Chris - thanks that's something new I've l...Chris - thanks that's something new I've learnt.Lynne Garnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05697330164705623835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2429560125838989988.post-48073572917080608462017-07-08T09:48:14.634+01:002017-07-08T09:48:14.634+01:00I know what you mean by research. In one of my books I have a bear scene, but it's winter, so I found out through phone calls to the wildlife centre that houses the bears, that bears in captivity do not hibernate but they do become more sleepy. That suited me fine so I went ahead with the scene. Lovely post.Chris Longmuirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02488093821886798927noreply@blogger.com
