I'm sure you were seething as you thought about all the injustices suffered, not to mention the awfulness of those in power who do nothing about it.

Some people fucking suck and should just die. We've had this conversation before, so you know I won't mince words here.

Thanks for writing and for your honesty.
xo
e

Eden Bayleehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08043540142363106345noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2429560125838989988.post-56783032367500846262021-10-10T10:43:22.662+01:002021-10-10T10:43:22.662+01:00Thanks, Reb. Sorry to scoop a little ...Thanks, Sandra and Peter. Sorry to scoop a little misery into your day, but don’t worry, it’s not my modus vivendi (which is what de Pfeffel might say, unless it’s the correct formulation, in which case, he wouldn’t). Despair has never suited me (not even the fashionable type), while Godot et al have always been a joy (albeit of the wry variety). I think the correct label to put on it all is resignation, while acknowledging the fact that the asylum has not only been taken over by ordinary inmates, but many with delusions of adequacy.Bill Kirtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16345949773423764808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2429560125838989988.post-60090495519184617812021-10-07T11:50:08.596+01:002021-10-07T11:50:08.596+01:00Ah Bill, yes I hear the despair and anger in your ...Ah Bill, yes I hear the despair and anger in your voice. We have things that I think can cary us through the horrors - Art in Picasso's Guernica, Writing in Waiting for Godot, Music in Dylan's A Hard Rain's a Gonna Fall; Religion - When Sarah Everard was murdered I spoke at our Friends' meeting that my wife and I often attend.

Nothing suits everybody, I know, but writing about this in the way you have connects people on this site and others, and can reverberate with the 'goodness' around, although sometimes this is hard to find.
