His daily count is reputedly matched by very, very few writers -- Arthur Conan Doyle, I've read somewhere. <br /><br />Even Stephen King is said to clock 2,000 daily.<br /><br />Michael Crichton supposedly hits 10,000 daily, but rewrites many, many times. <br /><br />Gardner's 3,300-3,500 daily is just phenomenal!
