BLOTT AND HIS WRITER - Susan Price with Adam Price

Blott - the writer's muse who manifests as an ink-blue cat - investigates e-readers...

I'm cheating a bit here, as Blott is written and drawn by my brother, Adam Price, and not by me.  But I thought it might give people with old and brand new Christmas pressie e-readers a laugh.
More Blot cartoons can be found, most weeks, at my blog: http://susanpricesblog.blogspot.com/

          And at my website: susanpriceauthor.com

There may even be a Blott e-book one day....

I feel like such a troll for saying this, but be glad you can push the blame for using the wrong "its" in the last frame on your brother! ;)

(Still, love the cartoon! Off to check out your blog.)

it was actually the cat that got it wrong, so no blame attached. cats must be forgiven everything. the greengrocer apostrophe, incidentally, has been around longer than most of us modern pedants think. when i was researching one of my historical nautical novels, i came across the manifesto of a ship that carried poor unfortunates from africa to america in (i think) 1519. it was handwritten, of course, and included, as bold as brass, "nineteen female slave's."

let me correct that. it was 1619, of course. ee, these mistakes! they're just too easy...

Two Blotts in one week - what a treat!
Although he has a worrying evil streak. Whippets are much easier muses to have around ...

I think muses need an evil streak, Madwippit - weren't we just talking about a writer's need for ruthless over on my Nennius blog? http://susanpricesblog.blogspot.com/

And yes, the grocers' apostrophe is entirely the work of my brother, and Blott - who, as Jan very wisely says, is blameless, being both a cat and a muse.

Q.E.D, Blott! Seems like true cat behaviour to me. So that's what the expensive coloured covers are really for? :-)
